Hi and welcome to JC Music. This site contains music created by me using a Korg Triton Le. Hope you like what you hear.
|
Most
of the tracks here were created either on-the-fly or by using the
Triton's RPPR. Well, here are some of them. (PS, copyright law
applies - k?). All parts of the following
tracks were created note for note (i.e. no samples were used), except on
the 'Compilation' track, which was created with MadTracker
2.
All MP3's were recorded @ 44kHz, 128bps so use your best speakers or
headphones - it's CD quality.
Track 1 - Trance.
This track was created in a bit of a rush but it's still got the key parts. It's limited to 60 seconds only though. A good example of the resonant filter with some Over drive on a TB303. Viva la moog!
Track 2 - Santur.
Named after the solo instrument later on in the track, the tracks were turned on and off in realtime, rather than recording the whole song as a cut and dry number. Just me being lazy. Also being lazy with the drum beat.
Track 3 - Can't Forget.
I'm not sure of the name of the original track but the riff is well known (at the end). I used plenty of compression on the drums so you could hear the sub beat nicely! Again, tracks turned on and off at record-time.
Track 4 - M1 Organ.
A basic garage M1 organ track. Unfinnished work.
Track 5 - SFX.
This one is just a bit of a mess really. A bit of a Prodigy drum track with some stupid sound effects thrown in. Nothing special.
Track 6 - The Trumpets.
You'd expect a track like this to be on a late night crap TV station add break. It's got piano, muted trumpets and brush kit jazz drumming (boo!), but then a soft hip hop beat comes in. I think it's nice to listen to if you've pi~s all better to do!
Track 7 - War Of The Worlds.
I got the idea for this one from one of the preset combos - can't remember which one. I think it has a kind of sci-fi-ish feel to it. The drums could have been beefed up a bit though but, well, wha-ya-gonna-do.
Track 8 - The Real-Time Good Time.
Based on a kinda nice keyboard synth riff with some very simple extras - bass, strings drums etc. This track is the only track I've ever created using RPPR. I just think it's more difficult than complete phrase recording. I'm open to a different opinion though! Enjoy!
Track 9 - SynX Piano.
Clicky track this. Nice, mellow pads with piano, round drum track and a bit of the old 2VCO. Knocked together in a few minutes.
Track 10 - Compilation.
This track consists of about 4 different tracks created with MadTracker. Nothing to do with the Triton but it's a real eclectic mixture of styles.
